Short answer
ATM hire solutions — the short answer
An ATM hire solution is three decisions, not one: which hardware suits the site, who carries the cash and connectivity risk, and how the hire is priced. We hire trailer-mounted dual-ATM units for outdoor grounds, portable standalone units for indoor and space-constrained sites, and manage cash-in-transit, loading, monitoring and connectivity on every option. Pricing is a hire fee plus a transaction surcharge, with a surcharge share available where withdrawal volume justifies it.

Trailer, portable and managed options compared
A trailer-mounted unit is the workhorse for outdoor events. Two ATMs in one weatherproof body, lit for evening trade, self-contained on power and connectivity, and towable onto grass or gravel — which means it does not need a hard stand or a loading dock. Its constraints are footprint and vehicle access: roughly 4.5m x 3m of flat, level ground and a route to reach it.
A portable standalone unit is for everywhere a trailer will not go. Indoor halls, pavilions, expo floors, function rooms, club and pub interiors during a busy season. It runs from a standard 240V outlet, takes a fraction of the space, and can be positioned inside the room where the spending happens instead of out in a car park.
The managed layer is what turns either one into a working solution. Cash-in-transit, loading, monitoring, fault response and connectivity all sit with us. An unmanaged machine is a liability at an event: the moment it runs empty or drops its connection, it is a queue of frustrated patrons and a stallholder complaint aimed at the organiser.
- Dual-ATM trailer — outdoor grounds, gates, food precincts, evening trade
- Portable standalone unit — indoor halls, pavilions, expos, function spaces
- Two-trailer, four-machine deployment — high-density and multi-day events
- Managed cash and connectivity on every option, with support staff where warranted

Risk
Connectivity and cash are the two failure points
Almost every bad event ATM story is one of two failures: the machine ran out of cash, or the connection dropped. Both are logistics problems rather than hardware problems, which is why we do not hand over an unmanaged machine and hope. Loading is scheduled against expected volume and topped up during the day, not after a complaint.
Connectivity is set up to run independently rather than on the venue's Wi-Fi, and where local coverage is weak we bring our own equipment. This is the single most common thing organisers get burned on, because a site that tests fine on a quiet Tuesday behaves completely differently when a few thousand phones arrive with the crowd.

Flat hire, surcharge share, or permanent placement
Flat hire gives you a known cost before the gates open and suits shorter events or uncertain volume. A surcharge share suits high-traffic events, where revenue offsets or replaces the fee. Permanent free placement is the right answer entirely when the need is continuing rather than dated — no cost to the venue, and the venue earns a share of the surcharge revenue.
We will tell you which of the three costs you least, including when that means not hiring from us. A venue paying hire fees for a permanent need is a bad deal dressed up as flexibility.
What to know before you hire
Power, space, cash handling and surcharges
The three things organisers ask about most, answered before you commit to a date.
Power and space requirements
Most mobile trailers and standalone units need a standard 240V power supply, or a dedicated generator where mains power is not available, and a flat, level area of roughly 4.5m x 3m with wireless network coverage. Where a site's Wi-Fi or mobile coverage is weak we bring our own connectivity equipment instead — we do not accept dropouts during transactions, so the connection is set up independently and tested before patrons arrive.
Cash loading and security
This is a full-service hire. We manage cash-in-transit, loading and monitoring, so your event staff and volunteers never open a machine or touch internal components. Positioning is agreed against your site plan, and delivery and pack-down windows are confirmed in writing rather than assumed.
Surcharges and earnings
Event hire is priced as an equipment hire fee plus a standard transaction surcharge paid by the person withdrawing — typically between $2.50 and $6.00 depending on the setup. Some high-traffic events qualify for a share of the surcharge revenue or a commission instead of, or alongside, a lower hire fee. Which model suits your event depends on expected withdrawal volume, and we say so plainly before you book.

Dual-ATM trailers for outdoor events, portable standalone units for indoor and space-constrained sites, and up to two trailers for four machines on high-density days. All options are fully managed.
No. Cash-in-transit, loading and monitoring are managed by us, and your staff never open a machine or touch internal components.
A dedicated generator covers it. Trailers run from a standard 240V supply or a generator, and we confirm which before the date.
Hire suits dated, temporary needs. For a continuing weekly need, permanent free placement costs the venue nothing and pays a share of the surcharge revenue instead.
