ATM machine hire
ATM machine hire
Hire a fully supported ATM machine for a date, a weekend or a season — with the cash logistics, connectivity and crew that make it work, not just the hardware.
Most enquiries receive a response within 3 hours during business hours.
Short answer
ATM machine hire — the short answer
ATM machine hire covers any situation where a machine is needed temporarily: an event, a market, a function, a seasonal trading period, or a venue whose permanent machine is out of action. The hire includes the machine, delivery, positioning, connectivity, cash-in-transit and loading, monitoring, support staff where warranted, and removal. Pricing is a hire fee plus a standard transaction surcharge, typically $2.50 to $6.00 depending on the setup.

Hire vs buy vs lease
Three ways to get a machine, and when each one wins
Hire is short-term and fully managed. You pay for the days you need it, and the cash, servicing and connectivity are ours. It is the right answer for events, markets, functions and any need with an end date, because you carry no asset and no logistics.
Buying suits an operator who wants to own the asset and run the cash themselves, and who has the volume to justify it. Leasing sits between the two: a fixed monthly cost on a longer term for a venue that wants a permanent machine on its own terms. Both are covered on our buy and lease pages.
Free placement beats all three for a venue with steady weekly traffic, because there is no cost at all and the venue earns a share of the surcharge revenue. If your need is permanent, hiring is the most expensive route to the same machine, and we would rather say that than sell you a hire.
- Hire — days to a season, fully managed, no asset and no cash handling
- Lease — longer-term fixed monthly cost for a permanent machine
- Buy — own the asset and run the cash yourself, if volume justifies it
- Free placement — no cost to the venue, plus a share of surcharge revenue

Included
What comes with a hired machine
Delivery and positioning against your site plan, levelling and power connection, connectivity brought up and tested with a live transaction before patrons arrive, cash loading scheduled against expected volume, monitoring and fault response through the hire, and removal inside the agreed window. Support staff attend where the size, layout or trading hours warrant it.
What we ask from you is the site conditions: a flat, level area of roughly 4.5m x 3m for a trailer or a power outlet and a visible indoor position for a portable unit, plus access windows and a contact on the day.
Terms
Notice, availability and confirmation
Confirmed bookings need at least 10 days. Availability is date-driven, and the tight windows are show season through March and April, spring street festivals in September and October, November school fairs and December twilight markets. Outside those, close to the minimum notice is usually workable.
Everything is confirmed in writing before the date — machine count, positions, access windows, hire model and on-site contact — because an event morning is the wrong time to discover a misunderstanding.
What to know before you hire
Power, space, cash handling and surcharges
The three things organisers ask about most, answered before you commit to a date.
Power and space requirements
Most mobile trailers and standalone units need a standard 240V power supply, or a dedicated generator where mains power is not available, and a flat, level area of roughly 4.5m x 3m with wireless network coverage. Where a site's Wi-Fi or mobile coverage is weak we bring our own connectivity equipment instead — we do not accept dropouts during transactions, so the connection is set up independently and tested before patrons arrive.
Cash loading and security
This is a full-service hire. We manage cash-in-transit, loading and monitoring, so your event staff and volunteers never open a machine or touch internal components. Positioning is agreed against your site plan, and delivery and pack-down windows are confirmed in writing rather than assumed.
Surcharges and earnings
Event hire is priced as an equipment hire fee plus a standard transaction surcharge paid by the person withdrawing — typically between $2.50 and $6.00 depending on the setup. Some high-traffic events qualify for a share of the surcharge revenue or a commission instead of, or alongside, a lower hire fee. Which model suits your event depends on expected withdrawal volume, and we say so plainly before you book.
